Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document cancels (revokes) a financial arrangement that previously gave the Office of Workplace Services special flexibility in spending public money.

What it does:

Cancels a "Net Appropriation Agreement" originally made on 15 June 2006
Net appropriation means the agency could spend money against its overall budget without getting separate approval for each individual transaction
After this cancellation, the agency must follow the standard rules requiring specific approval for spending

Who it affects:

The Office of Workplace Services — a former government agency (2006–2009) that enforced workplace laws and investigated breaches of employment standards
The Department of Finance and Administration (now Finance Department)

Why it matters: Removing a net appropriation agreement tightens financial controls. This likely reflects administrative changes, restructuring, or the agency preparing for its later merger into the Fair Work Ombudsman.
