43 Chief finance officer (1) The accountable officer of a department or public body must designate, in respect of the financial administration of the department or public body— S. 43(1)(a) amended by No. 30/2025 s. 15(2)(a). (a) a position of chief finance officer. S. 43(1)(b)(c) amended by No. 46/1998 s. 7(Sch. 1), repealed by No. 30/2025 s. 15(2)(b). S. 43(2) amended by No. 30/2025 s. 15(3). (2) The chief finance officer is responsible to the accountable officer for ensuring that proper accounting records and systems and other records are maintained in accordance with the regulations and directions. S. 43A inserted by No. 30/2025 s. 16.
