sec.92 Society must have certain words as part of name
A society’s registered name must include the word ‘Limited’ at the end of its name. A society’s registered name must also include the words ‘Cooperative Housing Society’ as part of its name. A description of a society is not inadequate or incorrect merely because the society’s registered name is given using— the abbreviation ‘Co-op’ for the word ‘Cooperative’; or the abbreviation ‘Ltd’ for the word ‘Limited’; or the abbreviation ‘No.’ for the word ‘Number’; or the symbol ‘&’ for the word ‘and’. (sec.92-ssec.1) A society’s registered name must include the word ‘Limited’ at the end of its name. (sec.92-ssec.2) A society’s registered name must also include the words ‘Cooperative Housing Society’ as part of its name. (sec.92-ssec.3) A description of a society is not inadequate or incorrect merely because the society’s registered name is given using— the abbreviation ‘Co-op’ for the word ‘Cooperative’; or the abbreviation ‘Ltd’ for the word ‘Limited’; or the abbreviation ‘No.’ for the word ‘Number’; or the symbol ‘&’ for the word ‘and’.
