sec.18 Other functions
The other functions of the registrar under this Act are to— register, supervise and regulate societies; and supervise and enforce compliance by societies with this Act and with standards; and ensure that an effective and efficient system of prudential supervision is applied to societies; and protect the interests of members of societies; and administer the Cooperatives Supervision Fund; and facilitate or direct the transfer of engagements of, or the merger of, societies; and otherwise undertake the administration and enforcement of this Act; and give information and statistics to the Treasurer about societies; and advise, and make recommendations to, the Treasurer; and carry out the functions conferred on the registrar by another provision of this Act, other than part 2 . s 18 amd 1999 No. 27 s 76 sch 1 pt 2

- (b) supervise and enforce compliance by societies with this Act and with standards; and
- (c) ensure that an effective and efficient system of prudential supervision is applied to societies; and
- (d) protect the interests of members of societies; and
- (e) administer the Cooperatives Supervision Fund; and
- (f) facilitate or direct the transfer of engagements of, or the merger of, societies; and
- (g) otherwise undertake the administration and enforcement of this Act; and
- (h) give information and statistics to the Treasurer about societies; and
- (i) advise, and make recommendations to, the Treasurer; and
- (j) carry out the functions conferred on the registrar by another provision of this Act, other than part 2 .
