21Application

#### 21 Application (1) A court is not empowered to grant a costs certificate under subsection 6(1) or (2), 7(1) or 9(1) in respect of a Federal appeal instituted, or leave for which was granted, before the commencement of this Act. (2) A court is not empowered to grant a costs certificate under subsection 8(1) or (2) in respect of a new trial granted in a Federal appeal instituted, or leave for which was granted, before the commencement of this Act. (3) A court is not empowered to grant a costs certificate under subsection 10(2) or (3) in respect of proceedings that were rendered abortive, or the hearing of which was discontinued, as the case may be, before the commencement of this Act. (4) A court is not empowered to grant a costs certificate under subsection 7A(1) in respect of a Federal appeal instituted, or leave for which was granted, before the commencement of this subsection.
