#### 15E Payments relating to temporary energy bill relief Scope (1) This section applies to a State in relation to a financial year if: (a) the State is a party to a temporary energy bill relief agreement; and (b) the financial year is the 2022‑23 or 2023‑24 financial year. Determination (2) The Minister must determine that an amount specified in the determination is to be paid to the State for the purpose of making a grant of financial assistance for the financial year for the purpose of expenditure in accordance with the temporary energy bill relief agreement. (3) A determination under subsection (2) is a legislative instrument, but section 42 (disallowance) of the Legislation Act 2003 does not apply to the determination. Terms and conditions (4) Financial assistance is payable to the State under this section for the financial year on condition that the financial assistance is spent in accordance with the temporary energy bill relief agreement. (5) Financial assistance payable to the State under this section is subject to such additional terms and conditions (if any) as are set out in the temporary energy bill relief agreement.
