#### 25.01 Application for divorce order (1) An application for a divorce order must be in accordance with the approved form. (2) The applicant must file with the application the relevant marriage certificate, unless the applicant has already filed it in relation to other proceedings in the same registry. (3) If the applicant is unable to file the marriage certificate, the applicant must: (a) file an affidavit setting out the reasons; or (b) give a Registrar an undertaking, satisfactory to the Registrar, to file the marriage certificate within a specified time. (4) If the marriage certificate is not in English, the applicant must file with the application: (a) a translation of the marriage certificate in English; and (b) an affidavit by the person who made the translation verifying the translation and setting out the person’s qualifications.
