sec.88 Offences against this Act
An offence against this Act is a summary offence. A proceeding for the offence must start within— 1 year after the offence is committed; or 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the offence is committed. In a complaint starting a proceeding for an offence against this Act, a statement that the matter of the complaint came to the complainant’s knowledge on a stated day is evidence the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge on that day. (sec.88-ssec.1) An offence against this Act is a summary offence. (sec.88-ssec.2) A proceeding for the offence must start within— 1 year after the offence is committed; or 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the offence is committed. (sec.88-ssec.3) In a complaint starting a proceeding for an offence against this Act, a statement that the matter of the complaint came to the complainant’s knowledge on a stated day is evidence the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge on that day.
