sec.78 QCAT may stay operation of original decision

This section applies to an original decision that is an accreditation decision. A person who has a right of review for an original decision may apply, as provided under the QCAT Act , to QCAT for a stay of the operation of the original decision. QCAT may, by order, stay the operation of the original decision to secure the effectiveness of an internal review of the decision and any later application for review of the decision by QCAT. QCAT may stay the operation of the original decision on conditions QCAT considers appropriate. The stay operates for the period decided by QCAT. However, the period must not extend past the last day to apply for an external review of a decision on an internal review of the original decision. (sec.78-ssec.1) This section applies to an original decision that is an accreditation decision.
