sec.50 Show cause notice

The authority must give a show cause notice to the farmer before deciding a mortgagee’s application for an exemption certificate. The show cause notice must state the farmer may, within the show cause period, make written representations to the authority to show why an exemption certificate should not be issued. The show cause period must end at least 20 business days after the farmer is given the show cause notice. The show cause notice must be accompanied by a copy of the mortgagee’s application.
