sec.56 Procedure generally
In a conference, the commission— must observe natural justice; and must act quickly, and with as little formality and technicality, as is consistent with a fair and proper consideration of the issues before it; and is not bound by the rules of evidence; and may inquire into, and inform itself, of anything in the way it considers appropriate. The commission may, in appropriate cases, hold a conference by using any technology allowing reasonably contemporaneous and continuous communication between persons taking part in the conference. To the extent a matter relating to the commission’s conduct of a conference is not provided for by this Act, the commission may decide its own procedure.
