9 Meaning of payment phase
Either: (a) a superannuation interest (other than a small superannuation accounts interest) of a member spouse in an eligible superannuation plan; or (b) a component of such a superannuation interest; is in the payment phase at a particular date if it is not in the growth phase at that date.
