#### 33 Method for determining gross value—combination of defined benefit interest and accumulation interest (1) Subject to subregulation (2), if the superannuation interest is made up of a component that is a defined benefit interest and a component that is an accumulation interest (other than a partially vested accumulation interest), the gross value at the relevant date of the interest is to be determined by adding: (a) the gross value at the relevant date of the defined benefit interest, determined in accordance with the method set out in regulation 29; and (b) the gross value at the relevant date of the accumulation interest, determined in accordance with the method set out in regulation 31. (2) This regulation does not apply to a superannuation interest in relation to which a method or factor has been approved in an instrument made under regulation 38 after the commencement of this subregulation.
