7C Conduct of directions hearing (1) The Judge conducting a directions hearing may do any of the following: (a) make an order that is appropriate to the conduct of the appeal to which the directions hearing relates, including: (i) an order under subsection 94 (2B) of the Act; and (ii) an order limiting the length of any written submission; (b) adjourn the hearing from time to time; (c) adjourn the hearing to enable it to be conducted by the Regional Appeal Registrar. (2) When making an order, the Judge must give paramount consideration to the interests of justice.
