Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does:

These regulations cancel (repeal) an earlier set of workplace relations rules called the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Amendment Regulations 2011 (No. 1).

Key points:

Simple cleanup: This is a housekeeping measure that removes the earlier regulations from the statute books entirely.
Timing: The repeal takes effect immediately when these regulations are officially registered.
Authority: Made under the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 (the law that manages the switch-over to the Fair Work system).

Why it matters:

If you were relying on the specific rules in the Amendment Regulations (No. 1), those rules no longer apply once this repeal takes effect. This typically happens when the earlier regulations were temporary, contained errors, or have been replaced by other arrangements.
