#### 148 Prescribed day for keeping copy of register (s 231(2)) (1) For subsection 231(2) of the Act, the prescribed day for keeping a copy of the register, or a part of the register, is the day provided for in the rules of an organisation, in accordance with subparagraph 143(1)(e)(i) of the Act, as the day on which the roll of voters for a ballot for an election for office is to be closed. (2) If the AEC determines that a ballot for an election for office in an organisation is not required, the organisation is not required to keep a copy of the register, or a part of the register, as it stood on the prescribed day.
