25 Requirement in lieu of regulatory additionality requirement
- For the purposes of subparagraph 27(4A)(b)(ii) of the Act, the requirement in lieu of the regulatory additionality requirement for a savanna sequestration project is the requirement in subsection (2).
- A project area for the project must not include an area of land if fire management for the primary purpose of either or both of the following is required to be carried out by or under a law of the Commonwealth, a State or a Territory on that land:
- reducing emissions from fire;
- sequestering carbon in living biomass or dead organic matter.
