1  Name

  This instrument is the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Amendment (List of Threatened Ecological Communities (EC93)) Instrument 2026

2  Commencement

  This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under section 184 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in Schedule 1 to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in Schedule 1 to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Insert the following ecological community:

Schedule 2— Description of ecological community

Wetlands and inner floodplains of the Macquarie Marshes

The ecological community consists of the assemblage of native flora, fauna and other organisms associated with and dependent upon the lower Wambuul/Macquarie River, its anabranches, effluent streams and tributaries and associated floodplains. It is associated with a large, wetland ecosystem complex with interconnected habitats, including permanent/intermittent lowland streams and freshwater lakes, seasonal floodplain wetlands, and associated woodlands, forests, shrublands, marshlands and other vegetation types.
