27 Background
(1) The ACMA has identified the 3400 MHz to 3475 MHz and the 3950 MHz to 4000 MHz frequency bands for use for highly localised wireless broadband services in urban areas, using fixed licences authorising the operation of point to multipoint systems. Such services encompass public, private and enterprise networks, including services at warehouses, factories, airports, ports, transport hubs, hospitals, schools and smart buildings. (2) Arrangements for point to multipoint systems are described in RALI MS 50.
Note: RALI MS 50 is available, free of charge, from the ACMA’s website at www.acma.gov.au.
(3) For conditions that may apply to fixed licences that authorise the operation of point to multipoint systems, see the Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Fixed Licence) Determination 2025.
