IMMI 13/007 (commencing 23 March 2013) revokes IMMI 12/131 and replaces the official list of Chinese travel agents specified under Item 3 of the table in subitem 1236(6) of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994. It affects PRC citizens applying for visitor visas by defining which agents the Minister treats as authorised for lodgement. Applicants pay agent fees; the Minister decides the authorised list and applicants/agents must comply with that specification.

I, BRENDAN O’CONNOR, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under Item 3 of the table in subitem 1236(6) of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
REVOKE Instrument number IMMI 12/131 signed on 30 November 2012 specifying travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; AND
SPECIFY the travel agents listed in the Schedule to this Instrument as travel agents for the purposes of Item 3 of the table in subitem 1236(6) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations.
This Instrument, number IMMI 13/007, commences on 23 March 2013, immediately following the commencement of Migration Amendment Regulation 2013 (No. 1).
