Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Ministerial Instrument is the master list defining which occupations count as "skilled" for Australia's General Skilled Migration visas, how many points each occupation earns (40, 50 or 60), and which authorities assess applicants' qualifications. It replaces the prior IMMI 10/026.
It affects anyone applying for skilled visas (including various subclasses and transitional applicants), clarifies assessors for professions and trades (e.g., Engineers Australia, TRA, VETASSESS, ANMC), and sets country-specific assessor rules for some trades.
