This ministerial instrument under the Migration Regulations names the approved travel agents authorised to organise tours for PRC citizens applying for Australian tourist visas, revoking the previous list. It specifies 142 agents (51 Australia‑based, 91 China‑based).
It matters because Chinese applicants must book through a listed agent to meet the organised‑tour visa requirement, and only listed agents may arrange tours under this pathway.

I, DEIRDRE RUSSACK, Delegate of the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
REVOKE the Instrument IMMI 09/130 signed on 11 November 2009 specifying travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; and
SPECIFY the travel agents listed in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Instrument as travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations.
This Instrument, IMMI 10/034, commences on 18 June 2010.
