This Ministerial Instrument publishes the official list of travel agents authorised to organise tours for People's Republic of China citizens applying for Australian tourist visas. It affects PRC nationals who must book through an approved tour operator and the 138 named agencies (50 Australia‑based, 88 China‑based). The instrument revokes IMMI 09/042, replaces it with the updated list, and takes effect 15 August 2009.

I, CHRIS EVANS, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
REVOKE the Instrument IMMI 09/042 specifying travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; and
SPECIFY the travel agents listed in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Instrument as travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations.
This Instrument, IMMI 09/085, commences on 15 August 2009.
