Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This instrument sets Australia’s Skilled Occupations List for points-based skilled visas: it names eligible jobs, assigns each a 40/50/60 points value, and specifies which professional body must assess an applicant’s qualifications. It also determines which point thresholds apply to different visa subclasses.
It affects prospective skilled migrants and employers who must nominate listed occupations and obtain the named skills assessments; without a listed occupation or required assessment, applicants cannot proceed. It replaces the previous IMMI 08/004 list.
