This instrument creates an official list of approved travel agents in Australia and China whose organized tours qualify Chinese (PRC) citizens for Australia tourist visas. It affects PRC applicants, travel agents that arrange such tours, and immigration officers who assess those visas.
Only tours arranged by agents on this updated list meet the "organized tour" visa pathway; the instrument replaces the prior approved-agent list to keep approvals current.

I, CHRIS EVANS, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under regulation 1.17 and subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
REVOKE the Instrument IMMI 08/064, specifying travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; and
SPECIFY the travel agents listed in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Instrument as travel agents for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations.
This Instrument, IMMI 08/069, commences on 24 October 2008.
