Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument updates the administrative rules for certain Australian work and business visas by replacing last year’s lists of authorised Regional Certifying Bodies and the postcodes that count as “regional.” It affects employers sponsoring overseas workers, migrants seeking regional visa entitlements or points, and the certifying bodies that assess jobs. The change matters because the postcode map determines eligibility, bonus points and whether sponsors or visa-holders meet regional requirements.
