Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Ministerial instrument under the Migration Regulations sets the official list of occupations that qualify for certain skilled Australian visas, identifies regional shortage roles, assigns points values to each occupation, and names the professional assessing authorities who must verify qualifications. It determines which applicants and sponsors can claim occupation-based points and therefore directly affects prospective skilled migrants, their employers and regional sponsors — if your job, points or assessor aren’t listed you can’t use it to qualify.
