Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of specific Piper PA‑42 Cheyenne III serials must urgently inspect flight‑control hardware for incorrect brass nuts. If found, replace them (inspect before next flight; replace within 10 flight hours) because brass nuts can fail where steel is required, risking loss of trim or primary flight‑control authority. This Airworthiness Directive affects the listed serial-number range and addresses an immediate safety hazard.
