Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This instrument sets a participation cap for businesses seeking export grants. Under the Export Market Development Grants scheme, businesses can join together as approved joint ventures or approved consortia to share costs and claim government grants for promoting their products overseas. This rule limits any single person or company to being a member of no more than three such groups at the same time. If you are already part of three approved joint ventures or consortia, you cannot join a fourth unless you leave one of the existing ones. This prevents any one entity from dominating the grant system or claiming excessive subsidies across multiple groupings.
