#### 71 Appointment of Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director
(1) There is to be a Managing Director of EFIC.
(2) The Managing Director is to be appointed by the Board after the Board has consulted with the responsible Ministers in relation to the appointment.
(3) The Board may appoint a Deputy Managing Director of EFIC after the Board has consulted with the responsible Ministers in relation to the appointment.
(4) A member of the Board cannot be appointed as Managing Director or Deputy Managing Director.
(5) An appointment under this section is not ineffective merely because of a defect or irregularity in relation to the appointment.
