5‑26 Trade descriptions applied to rabbit carcases

(1) A trade description applied to prescribed rabbit meat that is carcases that are intended to be exported must include: (a) for the carcase of a rabbit of the genus Oryctolagus—the word “RABBIT”; and (b) for the carcase of a rabbit of the genus Lepus—the word “HARE”. (2) If the carcase has been prepared to include skin, head or feet, the trade description must include the words “SKIN ON”, “HEAD ON” or “FEET ON” (as the case requires).
