#### 8‑4 When notice of intention to export must be given
(1) For the purposes of paragraph 243(1)(g) of the Act, a notice of intention to export a consignment of, or including, prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products must be given as soon as reasonably practicable before the date the consignment is proposed to be exported.
(2) If an assessment of the prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products in the consignment is required to be carried out under Part 2 of Chapter 9 of the Act, the notice of intention to export the consignment must be given at a time that will ensure there will be sufficient time for the assessment to be carried out.
> Note: It is a prescribed export condition in relation to the export of prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products that a person prescribed by section 8‑2 must have given the Secretary, at the time prescribed by this section, a notice of intention to export a consignment of, or including, the prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products (see item 4 of the table in section 2‑4).
