#### 5‑15 Container system units and equipment for loading aircraft and vessels (1) Prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products must not be loaded for export unless: (a) the container system unit or the area on an aircraft or vessel into which the poultry meat or poultry meat products are to be loaded: (i) is not a source of contamination of the poultry meat or poultry meat products; and (ii) is clean; and (iii) is free of odours and materials that are capable of contaminating poultry meat or poultry meat products or their packaging; and (iv) if necessary, is equipped or provided with an appropriate and adequate means of refrigeration; and (v) is maintained in a good state of repair and working order having regard to its use; and (b) if the container system unit is intended for transport by sea—the container system unit and the area into which the poultry meat or poultry meat products are to be loaded are capable of being secured by a bolt seal that is an official mark. > Note: See section 8‑13 in relation to bolt seals. (2) Prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products must be stowed in a container system unit, or an area on an aircraft or vessel, in a manner that ensures that their condition and packaging are not likely to be adversely affected during the flight or voyage.
