#### 4‑21 Application for allocation of meat inspection services to establishment
(1) The occupier of an establishment where operations to prepare prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products for export are to be carried out may apply to the Secretary for a preliminary allocation of meat inspection services to the establishment.
> Note 1: The occupier of certain registered establishments must, before commencing operations to prepare prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products for export at the registered establishment, have a preliminary allocation of meat inspection services for the establishment (see section 4‑14).
> Note 2: For establishment, see section 12 of the Act. For registered establishment, see section 1‑5 of this instrument.
(2) The application must:
(a) if the Secretary has approved, in writing, a manner for making an application—be made in an approved manner; and
(b) if the Secretary has approved a form for making an application:
(i) include the information required by the form; and
(ii) be accompanied by any documents required by the form; and
(c) be made at least 90 days before operations to prepare prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products for export at the establishment are to commence; and
(d) set out details of the intended operations, including:
(i) the months, weeks, days and hours the operations are intended to be carried out; and
(ii) the number of chains at the establishment; and
(iii) the number of chains, and the chain speeds, for each type of poultry from which prescribed poultry meat or poultry meat products are to be derived.
> Note: Examples of types of poultry are fowl, ducks, geese, turkeys and pigeons.
(3) An application is taken not to have been made if the application does not comply with the requirements referred to in subsection (2).
