4‑8A Conditions relating to treatment of prescribed plants or plant products

If the export operations carried out at a registered establishment are, or include, operations to treat prescribed plants or plant products: (a) the operations must be safe and effective; and (b) the treatment must meet importing country requirements relating to the export operations and the plants or plant products; and (c) if the treatment involves the application of a chemical such as an insecticide or a fumigant—the use of the chemical must be lawful.
