#### 9‑28 Functions to be performed by veterinary officer, or authorised officer acting under supervision of veterinary officer (1) This section applies in relation to the following functions that are to be performed by an authorised officer at a registered establishment: (a) assessing information in relation to an animal that is given to an authorised officer; (b) inspecting animals and applying decisions or dispositions to animals; (c) inspecting restricted slaughter animals, or their carcases or carcase parts, and applying decisions or dispositions to restricted slaughter animals or their carcases or carcase parts; (d) implementing procedures for notifiable diseases. (2) If a veterinary officer is at the establishment, the functions referred to in paragraphs (1)(a), (b) and (c) must be performed by: (a) a veterinary officer; or (b) an authorised officer acting under the supervision of a veterinary officer. (3) If a veterinary officer is at the establishment, the function referred to in paragraph (1)(d) must be performed by a veterinary officer. > Note: For veterinary officer, see section 1‑5.
