#### 8‑25 Persons who may possess official marks that have not been applied to meat or meat products A person may possess a kind of official mark for meat or meat products that has not been applied to any meat or meat products only if: (a) the person is permitted to manufacture or supply official marks of that kind under section 8‑24 or to apply official marks of that kind under section 8‑26; or (b) the person is an authorised officer; or (c) the possession of the official mark by the person is: (i) covered by an approved arrangement; or (ii) in accordance with a direction given by an authorised officer; or (d) the Secretary has given the person a written approval to possess the official mark at a specified registered establishment and in relation to specified meat or meat products, and the possession is in accordance with that approval. > Note: For how a direction may be given by an authorised officer, see section 309 of the Act.
