#### 7‑1 Period of effect of export permit For the purposes of paragraph 228(b) of the Act, an export permit for prescribed meat or meat products remains in force (unless it is revoked under section 233 of the Act) for 28 days starting on the day the permit is issued. > Note 1: An export permit takes effect when it is issued (see paragraph 228(a) of the Act). > Note 2: An export permit (other than an export permit issued by electronic means) must be retained in a secure place when it is not being used (see section 11‑5).
