#### 2‑8 Period of effect of exemption For the purposes of paragraph 57(b) of the Act, an exemption granted under paragraph 54(1)(a) of the Act remains in force (unless it is revoked under section 59 of the Act): (a) for 12 months starting on the day the exemption takes effect; or (b) if another period is specified in the instrument of exemption—for the specified period. > Note: The exemption takes effect on the date stated in the instrument of exemption under paragraph 56(1)(e) of the Act (see paragraph 57(a) of the Act).
