7‑6 Period of effect of varied export permit

For the purposes of paragraph 230(b) of the Act, a varied export permit for prescribed livestock, prescribed live animals or prescribed animal reproductive material remains in force (unless it is revoked under section 233 of the Act) until the earlier of the following: (a) the day the livestock, live animals or animal reproductive material are accepted at their final overseas destination; (b) the end of the period for which the export permit as originally issued was in force under section 7‑4.

Note 1: A varied export permit takes effect when it is issued (see paragraph 230(a) of the Act).

Note 2: An export permit (other than an export permit that was issued by electronic means) must be retained in a secure place when it is not being used (see section 11‑5).
