9 Person liable to pay charges—export of live animals and plants and plant products

For section 9 of the Act: (a) the exporter of regulated goods referred to in an item in the table in section 7, or the table in subsection 8(1), is liable to pay the charge in relation to the goods; or (b) if regulated goods referred to in an item in the table in section 7, or the table in subsection 8(1), are exported by 2 or more persons—the exporters of the goods are liable to pay the charge in relation to the goods.

Note: An agent of a person who is liable to pay a charge under this section is jointly and severally liable with that person to pay the charge (see section 6 of the Export Charges (Collection) Regulation 2015).
