sec.65 Protection of members, legal representatives and witnesses
A member of the board of inquiry has, in the performance of the member’s duties, the same protection and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court. A lawyer or other person appearing before the board for someone else has the same protection and immunity as a barrister appearing for a party in a proceeding in the Supreme Court. A person summoned to attend or appearing before the board as a witness has the same protection as a witness in a proceeding in the Supreme Court. (sec.65-ssec.1) A member of the board of inquiry has, in the performance of the member’s duties, the same protection and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court. (sec.65-ssec.2) A lawyer or other person appearing before the board for someone else has the same protection and immunity as a barrister appearing for a party in a proceeding in the Supreme Court.
