sec.166 Limitation period for starting prosecution
New section 118(7) applies only in relation to a proceeding for an offence against this Act alleged to have been committed after the commencement. Former section 118(6) continues to apply in relation to a proceeding for an offence against this Act alleged to have been committed before the commencement despite the amendment of former section 118(6) by the Resources Safety and Health Legislation Amendment Act 2024 . s 166 ins 2024 No. 34 s 146 (sec.166-ssec.1) New section 118(7) applies only in relation to a proceeding for an offence against this Act alleged to have been committed after the commencement. (sec.166-ssec.2) Former section 118(6) continues to apply in relation to a proceeding for an offence against this Act alleged to have been committed before the commencement despite the amendment of former section 118(6) by the Resources Safety and Health Legislation Amendment Act 2024 .
