Tasmania act
This Act amends the Evidence (Children and Special Witnesses) Act 2001 and takes effect on the day it receives Royal Assent. It notes the amendment has been incorporated into the authorised version of the Principal Act and then self-repeals one year after commencement.
Courts, legal practitioners and people covered by the Principal Act must apply the amended rules during that year; administrative and compliance costs fall on courts and legal practitioners to implement the changes (ss 2–5).
