22 Interpreters and intermediaries to act on oath or
affirmation
(1) A person must take an oath or make an affirmation before acting as
an interpreter or intermediary in a proceeding.
(2) An oath taken, or an affirmation made, by a person before acting as
an interpreter or intermediary on a day is taken for subsection (1) to
be an oath taken or affirmation made by the person for the purposes
of any subsequent proceeding in the court on the day the person acts
in that capacity.
(3) The person must take the oath, or make the affirmation, in accordance
with the appropriate form in schedule 1 or in a similar form.
(4) An affirmation has the same effect for all purposes as an oath.
Note The Commonwealth Act does not include intermediaries and does not
include s (2).
