sec.5 Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to achieve the object of the Act in relation to waters and wetlands. See section 3 of the Act . The purpose is achieved by— identifying environmental values for waters and wetlands to be enhanced or protected; and identifying management goals for waters; and stating water quality guidelines and water quality objectives for enhancing or protecting the environmental values for waters; and providing a framework for making consistent, equitable and informed decisions about waters; and monitoring and reporting on the condition of waters. s 5 amd 2022 SL No. 125 s 3 (sec.5-ssec.1) The purpose of this policy is to achieve the object of the Act in relation to waters and wetlands.
