#### 232 Result of ballot 232 Result of ballot > > (1) The returning officer must count all votes cast and sign a statement containing the following information— > > > > > (a) the total number of owners who are eligible to vote, > > > > > (b) the number of formal votes by the owners consenting to the development plan, > > > > > (c) the number of formal votes by the owners against consent to the development plan, > > > > > (d) the number of informal votes by the owners, > > > > > (e) the number of envelopes marked “rejected”, > > > > > (f) the number of lots of land in relation to which no votes were cast, > > > > > (g) the proportion of the total number of owners of lots subject to the proposed development plan who cast formal votes in favour of consent to the plan, > > > > > (h) the proportion of the total area of the land subject to the proposed development plan that is owned by sole owners and groups of co-owners who have cast formal votes in favour of consent to the plan. > > > (2) The returning officer must give the relevant authority and the Planning Secretary written notice of the result of the ballot and a copy of the voting roll. > > > (3) In this section— > > > > total number of owners means the sum of— > > > > > (a) the total number of sole owners of lots, whether or not they are also the co-owners of other lots, and > > > > > (b) the total number of groups of co-owners of lots.
