This regulation amends the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Environmental Infringement Notices) Regulations 2016 and comes into force seven days after its Gazette notice (s2). It records that the stated amendments have been incorporated into the authorised version of the 2016 Regulations (regs 4–6). It therefore updates the authorised regulatory text that applies to persons and bodies governed by the 2016 Regulations, while the instrument itself is procedural and does not set out detailed substantive provisions.

These regulations may be cited as the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Environmental Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2017 .
These regulations take effect on the seventh day after the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Environmental Infringement Notices) Regulations 2016 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
