178 Alternative method of assessment required (1) If the NT EPA makes a decision under regulation 173 that an alternative method of environmental impact assessment is required, the NT EPA must: (a) by written notice to the proponent, terminate the existing environmental impact assessment process; and (b) decide the method of environmental impact assessment in accordance with regulations 59, 60 and 61 as soon as practicable after the decision is made; and (c) carry out the new environmental impact assessment process in accordance with Parts 5 and 6. (2) The NT EPA may consider any information provided to it under the existing environmental impact assessment process in carrying out the new assessment process.
