Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument, made under section 269A(7) of the EPBC Act, adopts the Northern Territory Government’s "Recovery, Management and Monitoring Plan for the Brush‑tailed Rabbit‑rat (Conilurus penicillatus)" as the Commonwealth recovery plan for that species. It becomes effective the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

Mechanically, the instrument confers formal federal recovery‑plan status on the NT document; it does not itself specify funding, implementation steps or new regulatory powers, which depend on the adopted plan and responsible agencies.
